So as an addition to my last post on diet spring cleaning I wanted to bring up a few lifestyle suggestions that I've found helpful.
Just as diet is extremely important for feeling happy healthy and full of light & lovely spring energy, how you spend your time is equally influential.
For me personally, here are some things I'm doing to aid and assist my spring eating:
♥ SLEEP: not only getting 7-8 hours, but going to bed earlier and rising earlier
♥ Exercise: for me this includes a regular yoga practice, as well as regular walks
♥ Fresh Air & Sunshine
♥ Cleaning the house/yard
♥ Reducing clutter and giving away things I don't need
♥ Warm wash cloth body scrub every morning: dip a small face cloth in hot water, wring it out and fold it into a square. Rub over the whole body, hard enough to make the skin turn red, putting it back in the water as many times as you need to keep it warm.
♥ Finding some quiet me-time: reading in the sun, meditating, working on this blog, writing in my journal.
♥ Going over my spring "plan" or goals everyday, and resetting my intention for change
♥ Allowing myself to be happy, laugh, and find gratitude everyday
Especially when you are simplifying foods, it's really helpful to be extra kind to yourself. Pamper yourself in otherways. Listen to your body and rest when you need to. Find the same patience, love, and forgiveness for yourself that you so freely give to others.
What do you do to pamper yourself?
Any other lifestyle suggestions?
