So I've been skimming through The Hormone Diet, by Dr. Natasha Turner. I haven't yet read the whole thing, so I can't do a proper review.
Reading it this morning, with while enjoying my cup of tea, I came across this quote:
Live in rooms full of light
Avoid heavy food
Be moderate in the drinking of wine
Take massage, baths, exercise, and gymnastics
Fight insomnia with gentle rocking or the sound of running water
Change surroundings and take long journeys
Strictly avoid frightening ideas
Indulge in cheerful conversation and amusements
Listen to music.
--Aulus Cornelius Celsus (A Roman encylopedist, ca. 25 BC - 50 AD)
This struck all the right chords with me today. What do you think?
