and to welcome its joyous presence, i found some new reading material:
Michael Pollan's In Defense of Food:
Thanks for the recommendation, Maggie.
Jillian Michaels' Master your Metabolism:
Natasha Turner's The Hormone Diet:
Colette Harris' The Ultimate PCOS Handbook:
I'll let you know what I think of these books when I'm done reading them!
And of course, along with these interesting reads, I have been researching and reading about Japan, and studying Japanese.
And for better or for worse, I'll be honest: I have been eating more fruit (not too bad so far), mostly bananas or apples, usually in the morning before I practice, and berries...whenever I feel like it! I don't usually eat bananas (tummy issues), but lately they have been calling to me, and my body seems to be responding well...maybe the potassium is making my cells happy? Anyone else been enjoying more fruit these days?
I have also been walking more, because it is so nice to get fresh air!
I had a super busy week again: lots of classes, more lab tests and appointments, endless forms to fill out for Japan, and my convocation! I now officially have the paper to prove that I graduated. Yipee!!
Perhaps this weekend i'll have time for an actual post, but I'm hoping to enjoy some nice weather! How have you been experiencing summer lately? Food, bike rides, activities outside?
